BERGHAMMER’S GEORGE MINNICH RECEIVES PRESTIGOUS AGC SIR AWARD
Construction industry veteran honored for Skill, Integrity, Responsibility

July 5, 2011, BUTLER, WI – George Minnich, Senior Vice President and Partner with Berghammer Construction Corporation, was honored last month at the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee’s (AGC) Past President’s & Awards Night by being presented with the AGC Skill, Integrity, Responsibility (SIR) Award. Minnich was chosen to receive the award because of his ongoing commitment and dedication to the continued success and advancement of AGC and the construction industry. 

“George is a true master builder.  This award exemplifies what George’s principles are based upon,” said Leif Nesheim, President of Berghammer Construction Corporation.

 As the leader of Berghammer’s project management and field operations, Minnich oversees project administration, field coordination, quality control, scheduling and cost control. He’s been in the construction industry for 27 years and prior to joining Berghammer 8 years ago, Minnich held leadership positions with national and regional construction firms.

 Minnich is a native of Philadelphia and a graduate of Penn State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is past president of the St. Francis Foundation Board, Future Milwaukee Class of 2003, past member of American Concrete Institute and the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee – Ironworker Local 8 and is also a past president of the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee.
