" Congratulations! To you and your fantastic team. The buildings are great, our people are very happy, and it was all done just as you said - ahead of time and on budget. "

To provide outstanding service to its clients, Berghammer is committed to the professional growth and improvement of its employees. That is the foundation of Berghammer University, a philosophy of providing each employee with the necessary tools for a successful career.

Continued training is a key corporate initiative. Whether that training takes place in a classroom, or at the jobsite with safety demonstrations and toolbox talks, every employee is given a chance to improve, grow and succeed.

Mandeville Training :: October 2008

Approximately 35 of Berghammer’s field superintendents and project managers attended the Mandeville Training led by Diane Chamness, Chamness Group.  Mandeville Technique was developed by Dr. Stu Rose, an architect and engineer by profession, as a communication tool specifically targeted to the building industry and other service type businesses.  The training is a hands-on process.  A third of the training is “lecture” and the remainder is observation and role playing to practice the skills being taught.

Mandeville technique teaches individuals how to:

  • Establish rapport
  • Gather data relevant to the client or their “hot buttons”
  • Uncover clients needs, likes, experiences, dislikes and past/potential problems
  • Establish trust early on
  • Uncover leads early in the process
  • The Mandeville Technique is widely used in the U.S. and the technique is endorsed by the AIA, AGC and numerous professional engineering groups.

    LEED Seminars :: 2008

    Berghammer continually conducts internal training sessions and seminars to prepare employees, clients and architectural partners for the LEED accreditation exam administered by the U.S. Green Building Council.   This seminar series is managed by our Director of Estimating, Chris Rozof, LEED AP.

    Chris is a recognized regional expert on LEED principles, having written articles for periodicals such as Wisconsin Builder and presented on the topic of LEED to AIA and other professional groups.  Chris has committed himself to sustainable construction, and he is determined to educate and train others about green methods and techniques.
