BIM Best Practices, Best Results
May 2007 – At the AIA150 Convention, four speakers gave presentations about how to get the most benefit from using Building Information Modeling (BIM). A new 3D, project-oriented, AEC-Specific CAD program, BIM uses a digital representation of the building process to facilitate the exchange of information. BIM can be used to dramatically reduce errors by detecting design conflicts before construction begins. This results in significant time and cost savings by all members of a building project.
