245 Building Award - 2007

Berghammer Construction Corporation earned an honorable mention in the Wisconsin Sustainability & Energy Efficiency Awards (SE2) program for its work on Wisconsin’s first LEED-CS building, 245 Plaza in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The SE2 award program recognizes leadership in energy efficient and sustainable design, construction and operation of Wisconsin commercial and other non-residential buildings.

The state’s first LEED-CS green building, 245 Plaza features a drip irrigation system to conserve water and thermal performance-enhancing roof insulation. All members of Berghammer’s project management staff are LEED accredited. Liberty Property Trust is the developer for 245 Plaza.
 
 

AGC Mentor Protégé Award - 2007

The AGC of Greater Milwaukee developed a new initiative dedicated to increasing the number of minority- and women-owned business in the construction industry. This program allows firms to be advised and mentored by some of the most successful construction companies in the area. Mike Fabishak, CEO of The AGC of Greater Milwaukee, presented awards to the first graduates of the AGC of Greater Milwaukee’s Mentor/Protégé Program. Leif Nesheim received an award for mentoring Chris Martinez of Dairyland Electric.
 
 

Berghammer Receives OSHA Award

Jim Parks, Executive VP (left) receives the OSHA plaque from Craig Reisinger, Berghammer’s Director of Field Operations. Associated General Contractors of Milwaukee and OSHA formed a partnership (Construction Health & Safety Excellence or CHASE) stressing the importance of safety in the workplace. Berghammer has qualified for the 4-STAR Level of Participation in the partnership.
 
 

WCREW Award - Berghammer Demonstrates The Spirit In 2005

Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women (WCREW) presented Berghammer Construction with their 2005 Spirit Award, recognizing Berghammer for their work as general contractor on the 133,000-square-foot Holy Redeemer Academy in Milwaukee. The Spirit Award is presented for a development that breathes life, heritage and culture into an underutilized area.
 
 

2005 Builder's Edge Award for Community Service goes to Berghammer Construction

Leif Nesheim, President of Beghammer Construstion was proud to accept the 2005 Builder's Edge Award.

Each year, this award is presented to the company or individual demonstrating a genuine commitment to improve their community, the company and the Construction Industry. Leif brings a personal commitment to all the firm's clients and extends that focus to a variety of community organizations. His organizational skills have made him an effective fundraiser for numerous causes and organizations, and he regularly donates his time and money to at least a half-dozen non-profit groups.
